The Goodnews choir started as a source of river with a membership of five (5) namely , Gershon Awutey, Amy Awuku, Alice Agbedor ,Emmanuel Awagbe and James Darkey.
This idea came when they visited Emmanuel Awagbe when he was sick. The song that they song work on them that they agreed to form Goodnews choir in the. Adenta family . They wrote to church session and session approved It under the leadership of Rev Dr Cyril Fayose the then distinct Pastor .
God being so good the first announcement that was made in the church , we had (20) interested members and the group was working smoothly under the Leadership of Gershon Awutey the President , Amy Awuku secretary , Emmanuel Awagbe assistant, Peace Asemda –treasurer, Alice Agbedor  — financial secretary, Samuel Sewornu Chaplain  , Raymond Fiagbedzi Organizer  ,while Evans seho &James Darkey as adviser  , and Francis Amposa the first choir master .
Unfortunately the choir lost one founding member by name the late Bernice Doe,  an alto singer. This sad event occurred on her way home from rehearsal  when she was knocked down by a car .may her soul rest in peace .
The choir is still growing rapidly as at the time of Inauguration and Dedication of choir Robe , the membership was forty – five (45)
The choir was Inaugurated on 19th June 2005. The choirmaster then was Mr  Francis Pekyi. Who lead the choir for about five (5) years ago and we stand tall in terms of performance in the Zone C ,  Goodnews choir Union
